Why Post-Construction Cleaning Requires Specialists
You've probably noticed: the dust left behind from construction isn't normal dust. It's finer, more pervasive, and seemingly endless. Wipe a surface, come back an hour later, and there's a new film of dust.
Construction dust—from drywall, sawing, sanding—is incredibly fine. It becomes airborne easily and settles into places regular cleaning never touches. It gets into your HVAC system and redistributes throughout the home every time the air kicks on. It coats the insides of cabinets, the tracks of windows, the grooves of flooring.
Contractors often do a basic cleanup—sweep the floors, wipe the major surfaces—but they're not in the business of detailed cleaning. Post-construction cleaning requires specific techniques, multiple passes, and attention to the unique hiding spots of construction dust.

Post-Construction Cleaning Prices in Portland
Post-construction cleaning is priced based on scope—full gut renovation vs. single-room remodel, home size, and current condition. Because it often requires multiple passes and specialized attention, it typically costs more than standard cleaning.
| Project Type | Price Range |
|---|---|
| Bathroom Renovation | $175 – $300 |
| Kitchen Remodel | $250 – $400 |
| Major Renovation | $450 – $700 |
| Full Gut Renovation (1BR) | $400 – $600 |
| Full Gut Renovation (2BR) | $600 – $800 |
| Full Gut Renovation (3BR+) | $800+ |
These are estimates. Pricing depends heavily on condition. Heavy dust accumulation, debris, or extensive detail work will affect final price. We recommend photos or an on-site assessment for accurate quoting.
